I'm not sure what I want to say today. John asked a little while ago if we were going to the shop tomorrow. I told him, “Unless we think of something less hot to do,” or something to that effect. I went on to suggest breakfast at Mimi’s. I think we’re planning to do that at the very least. I really ought to try and get some work done on Nadine. After talking about it in the rant yesterday, I did a little looking around on them interwebs and got a little more inspired. I think if I can ever get off my dead ass and swap out those wiring harnesses, my “whelm” level will subside some and I'll be able to get some real work done. Gregg suggested that I have the wire wheels cleaned up and sprayed silver and be done with it. I might have a look at their condition again and see if that is feasible. I'm not against changing to alloy wheels, especially since the bolt pattern is the same as a Datsun, but I'm also not convinced on the “nice wheels on a ratty car” concept. If I found a set of old crusty Panasports, or something of that ilk, I'd be on board. I'm not going to put a set of shiny new wheels on a ratty old crust-bucket though, I don't care what John thinks. So, I'm not sure where all that leaves us, but there it is. [ Flat-black Diamonds? - SM ] Hmm, I guess I need to poop or get out of the Ganges and make a decision about what engine is going in what car and in what order are they to be accomplished. Probably the most intelligent thing to do would be to finish George. I'm just about convinced that the problem we encountered, overheating on startup, is the same issue I had with The Seven, twice now. I think there is just an air bubble in the head which needs to be burped out. At least I hope that is all there is to it. Oh yeah, I looked at Super Karate-Monkey Death Car the other night and it won't be as easy or quick a job as I had imagined. Well, looking over the Chickenhawk and determining that it isn't rotting away as bad as I had expected didn't help Super Karate-Monkey Death Car’s case either. I think, of the engine-less hulks out back, the Chickenhawk ought to be the next Datsun revived. Perhaps at the expense of Nadine, perhaps not. I don't know right now. A “round table” discussion needs to happen and DLR needs a game plan. Of course step one of that plan really NEEDS to be, “Don’t bring any more cars into the shop!” I just deleted a tentative “get them running” order. I realized it was crap and decided to not mention it after all. I also decided that I will try to not split infinitives. Anyhoo, I guess... well, I don't know what to say from here so I'm going to call it a rant. We'll see what the weekend brings and I'll tell y'all about it on Monday.
