I drove The Seven to work today. That car is so cool. Well, not in a temperature sense, it is actually quite the hot-box to drive. It is just so much fun. I may go out at lunch and move it to a shadier parking spot. I intended to come in early to get one in the shade but couldn't quite swing it. Oh well, what are you going to do? I guess I'm going to sweat my ass off later. Anyhoo, the reason y'all haven’t gotten many rants this week is that Spiderman’s interwebs are down, or something. I'm going to try and send this one, along with the last one from Tuesday, this evening after I get home. We'll see what happens. So I got a text from Lester, my brother-in-law, the other day asking if I wanted to go to the ranch on Sunday. I said yes and am looking forward to shoosting some stuff. I'll probably bring the 7.62x39 Saiga, the two 9mm Storms, one or the other .410 shotguns (probably Mossy), and the 12 gauge. I can take the lever gun to the pistol range any time so I don't really need to lug it around. I'm beginning to think the Saiga shotgun is superfluous. Sure, it’s cool, but with the Mossberg pump around I don't really see a need for it. Besides, it doesn't like that Golden Bear 3” ammo. Hmm, I think I might shop it around for sale. This time I'll go to Shooster’s Club before taking a low-ball offer from Blood Bath & Beyond though. Hopefully, with the parts I've added to make it a) 922r compliant and 2) really bitchin’, I will be able to get $300.00 for it. I've got a lot more than that in it but... well, what are you going to do? I am going to go to lunch. I might move the car and I might not. I did. Of course it is such an ordeal just to move that car three parking spaces that I almost felt like driving around to look for an even better one. I didn't, but I felt like I should have. So, I just got a reply from John confirming that we’ll be going to the shop at the usual time in the morning. I guess I'll plan to get that Hoyt-Clagwell tractor engine out of Nadine in the morning. It will be hot working in the direct sun, but you gotta do what you gotta do. As much fun as The Seven is, I can hardly wait to have Nadine up and running with a Nissan engine. Apparently that car is not as heavy as we had first thought, and a lot of the mass it does have is in that solid cast-iron engine and transmission, I would imagine. This car might to give The Seven a run for its money. That would be cool. I went back in to the DLR Inventory and changed the plans for Nadine. While in there I tried to remember what engine we were planning to put in the Chickenhawk. For the life of me, I cannot remember. A VG-33 sure would be cool. No, cool doesn't even begin to describe it. It would be beyond stupid fast, it would be irresponsible fast at that point. I like it. Well, we’ll see I guess. OK, I think I've just about said all I have to say today. Perhaps I'll have more to report on Monday. Toodles.
