Kevin said there was to be a swap meet “next weekend” which would now be last... I’ll start over. Last week (9/11/10), at that car show where I saw the other “bastardized” TR-3, Kevin told me there would be a swap meet “next weekend” (9/17/10-9/20/20). I called Grumpy Old George on Friday to confirm this. It was a true fact. He told me it was at the Ballpark in Arlington and said he would check it out later that day, Friday. I texted John and asked if he wanted to go to it. He did so we scheduled for em to pick him up at 0845 h Saturday morning. I was “shopping” for wheels to replace the set with a taco which currently reside on Ms. Clio. No, I didn't expect to find a set and sure as hell couldn't have afforded them if I had, but that was what I was looking for. Is there a grammatically correct way to say that last sentence? I can't finger one out. Anyhoo, we headed to Arlington and found the meet. We paid $5.00 to park and got a really good spot. We walked the thing. It sucked. Not the walking, that always sucks. No, the swap meet sucked. It was poorly laid out, there weren’t all that many vendors, and... um, I'm sure there were other complaints. We left and went to Gilligan’s Island, or something like that, for Irish Nachos. I knew going in that they would be a take on traditional nachos using potatoes in some fashion to replace the corn chips. I figured it would be scooped out potato skins but it turned out to be sliced potatoes. Anyhoo, I knew this and I knew I don't really care for potatoes all that much. I ordered them anyway. They were quite tasty. From there we started for John's house. He got a call from Samantha, his wife, and we diverted to looking for an end table. We looked a few places then started shopping for wheels for Ms. Clio. I was going to get a Boys of Pep credit card, for emergencies, and fingered I could buy wheels and tires at the same time. Hey, it’s kind of an emergency. Anyhoo, we found a few wheels I liked but they weren’t in stock and were more spendy than I liked. We moved on. We went to another place and saw some wheels but the counter folks didn't seem to want to sell us stuff. We left. John said, “Ok, I'll find some wheels on the Discount Tire website, e-mail them to you, you apply for credit and buy them.” I said, “OK.” I dropped him off and went home. I got his e-mail and agreed with his first choice of wheel. I ordered them along with a set of new tires. Oh, I also got an “installation kit” and tire pressure monitoring valve stems. The total was quite a bit higher than John's estimate, but I did it anyway. Hopefully the wheels and tires will be on my porch when I get home today. Sunday morning mom had a breakfast thing at the church which was being catered by my sister. They wanted me to come help. This I did. Afterwards, I went home and took a nap. When I woke up, I decided to go for a hoon in The Seven. As I was about to roll the car out, my former neighbor, and high school friend, Danny and his father Dan walked across the street. We chatted about the car for a bit and then, just as I was about to get in,

“...and the Draaaaa-gon!” When the song was over, I hopped in The Seven and went for a hoon. I drove past Amy and Sam’s place to make sure everything looked OK from the street then headed out and about. I wound up in Weatherford where I filled the car with gas. I hooned back on the back roads and wound up back at the house. I parked and went inside. And that’s about it. I'll tell the censored story at a later date.
