9/8/10

I just got an e-mail saying that the scope mount for the Auto 5 shipped today. Hopefully it will arrive before the weekend but I won't lose a ton of sleep if it doesn't. I'm not sure just how Juan goes about sighting in a holographic (and I'm probably using that term incorrectly here) red-dot sight thingy on a shotgun. Of course it’ll probably be a case of “If you can see it through the sight, it’s dead” sort of thing. At least I'm hoping that’s the case. Hmm, I just got a call from Steve/John at A&B Muffler saying he’s found a “Datsun 2000 Wagon” for sale. We looked on the Google and think it is probably a Cedric. Me wantee. I won't tell him that, unless he reads it here of course, because I can't afford to get into another project, no matter how clean and complete it is. I really need to poop or get out of the Ganges about my shop and living arrangements. Man, I'd be so nigga-rich if I didn't have that $600.00 a month hemorrhage. I know, I'd be trading that rent for the mortgage on the new place, but... well, I don't know what. I ran the numbers on a mortgage calculator thingy and it looks like the payments would be a wash compared to what I'm paying in rent. Thing is, it would be MY PLACE. Yeah, there are ups and downs of that, but those payments shouldn't go up on the whim of the landlord like the rent at the shop does. And speaking of rent, I could rent out spaces to my friends for their projects, and raise the rate at my whim. No, I wouldn't do that... often. Tee hee. Oops, I probably shouldn't have said that. Anyhoo, yeah, so I guess I really need to get cracking on that, especially if Borat Osama’s Health Care Bill’s Real Estate Sales Tax is to go into effect in 2013. I'm thinking we’d need to be built and ready to move in so mom could sell the Burkett house before then. I'm not sure what “we” are thinking about as far as where mom should be living. That house is not right, that’s for sure. Too many stairs and it is way too big. I guess she and I, and my siblings I suppose, ought to discuss it. I'm sure I'll have more to report as things progress, if things progress that is.
