Holy Crap! We can see the floor of the shop all the way from the tool box to John's car and from the door to the bench with the parts washer! This is monumental! I have to give credit where credit is due though and say that it couldn't have happened without me. No, no, just kidding. John and Dave get all the credit. They did most of the heavy lifting, and the light stuff as well, think to come of it. I absolutely could not have done it without them. Of course there is still a lot more work to do to get the place really clean and organized, but I hope that what was accomplished will satisfy the fire marshal that we’re at least trying to comply with his order. I spoke to Kevin and he has a waste oil guy who comes around regularly to empty their waste oil tank. He said I can dump my drum into it next week. So, next Saturday we’ll drop the last six or seven bags of trash in the dumpster and load up the waste oil drum in Fifi so I can take it to Kevin. “Why are there six or seven bags of trash leftover?” you ask. Well, when we had six or seven bags full around mid morning, which is a full Fifi bed load, we took them to the dumpster. In said dumpster was a mattress and box spring taking up half the space. We took up the rest. Do I feel guilty about it? No, not at all. So, like I said, we’re about halfway through and are still filling up bags, big 22 gallon contractor bags at that, so we just refill the bed of Fifi and plan to dump them next week. They are currently in the bed of Fifi on my back patio. After we were done cleaning, we pushed Lil' Wiggly back in and cleaned ourselves up. Then we went to Sticker Shock Mexican Food for, I hope, the last time. It took a solid fifteen minutes for John to get his tea, I'd already finished my orange soda and Dave was halfway through his Sprite. They didn't have whatever it was Dave ordered so he got the Loco Nachos which the waiter was going to “Hook him up with.” John and I both got half and half nachos at something like $8.00 a pop and I remember the Loco Nachos being in the $13.00 range from when I used to order them. Yeah, see why I call it Sticker Shock Mexican Food? There was a table full of a couple families sitting nearby and I noticed they got puffy chips, the place’s only redeeming item, and hot sauce. Pretty soon we got a bowl of hot sauce, no chips, just sauce. Then our food came. We ate it and hung out for a bit. Still no chips. At this point I'm about to give up but John really wants the puffy chips. We finally corral the waiter and ask for them again. He gets us some after a few more minutes. They were fresh and hot so I can't complain about that. Then he brings the bill: $36.42! There was no breakdown of the charges, just the amount. I paid it and left a meager tip. We stood outside and chatted for a bit then went our separate ways. Well, John and Dave were riding together so they didn't separate at that time, but you know what I mean. I went home and took a shower and a nap. Mom’s keyboard wasn't working so I had a look at it. It appeared to be in the keyboard so we went to Office Depot and got another one. Then I took her to Applebee’s for her Mother’s Day dinner. We fingered going anywhere on Sunday would be a madhouse so we decided to dine Saturday evening. Back at home, I hooked up the new keyboard and guess what... yep, it didn't work. I decided to do what I should have done with the first keyboard and rebooted the computer. Now it works. So the old one probably works too. Oops. Oh well, it was only ten dollars. If it craps out, like it probably will, I'll just reinstall the old one and she’ll be back in business. Sunday was almost a total waste of time so I might tell y'all about it and I might not. As for now though, it is 1130 h so I'm going to go see what Larry is doing for lunch. Have a day.
