So Pat and I went to have bait for dinner last night. It was quite tasty. I was afeared he had some sort of announcement which could only be given in person and that was why he suggested meeting for dinner. Nope, he just wanted to socialize. He says he’s anxious to get to work on his Datsun Roadster and wants to pick up his KA-24 and transmission from my shop sometime. Apparently the car is over at AUTOCOMP waiting for him to poop or get out of the Ganges. I'd even forgotten he had a Roadster, to be honest. So there’s that going on. I'm not 100% sure, but I think there is some sort of Gay Pride thing, The Stupendous Bowel or something, this Sunday which might conflict with the Japanese Nostalgic Car meet. I just sent John a text asking if he and I are going to the shop tomorrow. I believe that was his plan as of last week, but these things have a way of changing on me. Ok, we are going to the shop. It is as I figured, until he has a car for the JNC meet, he won't be attending. Now we’re arguing via text whether the Puppy Bowl or the Kitten Halftime Show is better. I say anything celebrating kittens is automatically infinitely better than anything with… well yeah, anything. So there. Ok, so I think the plan for tomorrow is to unload John's B-310 and try to keep him from doing anything with it until his 1200 at least rolls. I also need to remove the cross member we welded into Nadine before the dude comes to get it. Oh, I guess we also need to round up all the parts and things for that car and get them together in a central location… like in the car itself. There are a few items I don’t want to put in the car, unless the dude says he is on his way and it isn’t raining. There are a couple books I've picked up about restoring and hot rodding Triumphs as well as that huge laminated wiring diagram. I suppose the wiring diagram would be alright for a while in the trunk, it’s not like the shop is all that much more weatherproof after all. I don’t know, I suppose it is actually. Anyhoo, we can get the nose and hood support framework off of the top shelf and put them in the car. Oh, and I do mean “hood” in the British sense, as in the top or roof. The windshield could be a problem since we removed one of the bases to which it attaches to the scuttle. I saw the base thingy on the floor of the car the other day so I know the dude will be able to reattach it… probably. Then again, it won't be my problem soon enough. I guess, since the car is dead to me, it isn’t my problem now. Ahh, that’s much better, not caring. I don’t think there are any other parts for him but we’ll have a look around to make sure. Well, there is nothing going on today at work so I'm having to really tax my creative writing skills to come up with “busy work” to report on my daily log. One of the things I came up with was that I'd go check out a certain room from 1100 h to 1130 h. Since it is now 1100 h, I guess I otter go do that. I think we’ll just call this rant done then. Ok?
