I just didn’t feel like talking to y'all yesterday. Deal. Today I don’t really have anything to say but I guess I otter give it a go. Saturday morning I headed to the shop in Fifi. I didn’t see the straps in the back of the truck so I decided I'd stop in at Tractor Supply and buy some more. When I got to the shop, I found the others behind the seat. D’oh! Oh well, can't have too many straps. John was already at the shop moving stuff out of the Paint Booth so we could get the N-600 out. As soon as I saw it out in the open, I regretted the decision to make the trade. It is for the best though that I did because I really don’t need that silly project on my plate. We loaded it on the trailer and tied it down. That thing is so tiny it made my trailer look big. Next we tried to roll the ‘Spit into the Paint Booth. It would roll, sort of, in a straight line but as soon as any steering input was added it locked down like the parking brake were set. Methinks the thing hath an limited slip differential. We tried to pick up the ass end but the stupid swing-axle suspension just kept drooping the wheels and increasing positive camber. We set it back down and inched it little by little into position. Finally we hunkered down and shoved it in the booth. We both let out a mighty, “Fuck you!” when the thing was finally inside. We locked up and headed out to make the swap. At the dude’s house I began to rain. We unloaded the N-600 in the rain then loaded the “new” B-310 in the rain. As soon as we were about to leave the rain stopped. Back at the shop… it began to rain again. We dropped the car into the spot vacated by the ‘Spit and decided to go look at a parcel of land John had seen in his running around. Fifi was low on gas and I needed my BNSF badge so I went home first. I jumped in Fiona, with the badge, and headed to John's. We then went north to look at land. There wasn’t a lot to see from where we had access, but it gave me some idea. John called the number on the sign but I don’t know if he’s heard back from them. On the way back to his house, we stopped at Del Taco for Meskin food. Meh, it was ok. After I dropped him off at home, I went to the railroad to reset the clock for daylight savings time. Now, I had agreed to meet Pat and Randy to go shooting but took too long with John and missed out. They were talking about meeting somewhere for lunch afterwards so I asked them to call me when they had come to a decision. While waiting to hear from them, mom called to say that a different church person, not the Obama supporters, needed to borrow Fifi and ask if I minded. I did not. I told her that I was waiting to hear back from Pat as to the plan and would let her know when we could deliver the truck. Pat called to say that Randy was bailing out on lunch so I told him about mom needing me. I headed home. Mom called the dude and we arranged a meet. She filled the gas tank, to the tune of $80.00 at Sam’s Club, then we met the guy. Mom and I then went to Smash Burger. I wasn’t very hungry so I only ate about half my burger. After that I wasted the rest of the evening watching more “Prisoner” episodes. Sunday I went to the gun show by myself since it was Larry’s sister’s birthday. I was a good boy and only bought a leather butt-cuff ammo holder thingy for the Terminator shotgun. Oh, I also bought 100 rounds of .45 ACP ammo. But I didn’t buy any more guns. Back at the house, I installed the cuff and loaded it up with double aught shotgun shells. It looks pretty cool. After that… hell, I don’t know. I think I took a nap then wasted the rest of the evening watching more “Prisoner.” Yeah, that sounds likely. So, there you have it. I've got some other stuff to say but I think I've just about filled a whole page now. I'll save it for tomorrow.
