Sorry for the abrupt cutoff of the story the other day, I had stuff. So, like I said, that wraps up the weekend’s tale, now I need to think of more stuff to say. I'm not sure where we are on the Super Karate-Monkey Death-Car trade. Turns out John left off a little tidbit of information when asking me about it: the car is in Oklahomo. Now, it is possible that he’ll convince the dude to come to us to make the trade, which would be awesome. Then again, I do enjoy the odd road trip to rescue a car. I wish I knew how to make that profitable. Oh well, I guess I'll be a railroad office guy until the day they either escort me off campus or I drop dead. Retirement? What’s that? I'll be working SOMEWHERE until the day I die, I can't afford retirement. Oh well, what are you going to do? Oh, speaking of Super Karate-Monkey Death-Car II, I was thinking about Japanese pop culture characters, and vinyl decals thereof, this morning when I had an idea. Since the B-310 we’re talking of trading for Super Karate-Monkey Death-Car is brown, I think I'm going to start calling it Domo. John, do you want to put in a link for those who don’t know who Domo is or do we want to keep it an inside joke? Either way, I'm easy. I suppose if the deal falls through and I go ahead with building the current Super Karate-Monkey Death-Car as the faux rally car, I could paint it brown and call it Domo. I don’t know, we’ll see. So, has this week taken forever for everyone else? I don’t know if it is having to account for my every moment while at work or what, but this has been the longest week ever. Longest. Week. Ever. Oh, I wonder if it might be because it is supposed to be a three day weekend for us here at BNSF. Hmm, I'm not consciously thinking about having Monday off, but I can't disprove the notion. I don’t know. What to say, what to say? Oh, I ordered a short shifter for Fiona yesterday. After shopping around, most of them run about $250.00 and look almost identical. In fact, I would bet that they ARE identical, made in the exact same Chinese factory, and just labeled TWM, Torque Solutions, or Ralco. But a company called Turn In Concepts has one for $125.00 which is of a totally different design. Instead of the rubber isolated stick, it is a one piece unit. I liked the way the one piece shifter felt and worked over the stock two piece unit in the Subaru, so I think I'll like this one as well. It is, according to the installation instructions I read on the intergoogles, going to be a total pain in the ass to install, but I think it otter be worth it. I likes me a short shifter. Snick, snick, snick. We’ll see, I suppose. Feh, y'all are not entertaining me to your full potential. I think I'm going to call it a rant for the day.
