So I get an e-mail from my brother the other day.  He’s found some website with daily deals on stuff and is going to buy himself a new TV.  He was wondering if I might be interested in buying his 60’ HDTV to help offset the cost of the new one.  I said, “Sure.”  Well, he brought it over last night.  I spent a couple hours fighting with trying to channel surf with the thing and was just about pissed off to the point of setting up the old TV again.  Finally I found the “Parental Control” page in the menus and was able to block the channels I don’t give a shit about.  Now I have to go back and block/unblock channels until I have it the way I want it.  I need to delete the anal log versions of channels where a digital or HD version exists… then learn where everything is again.  I also need to buy some sort of stand to put it on.  I have it sitting on a pair of old stereo speakers lying on their sides right now.  I'm not too happy with that because the surface area on the carpet isn’t the most stable situation available.  I'll go to Best Buy or someplace and pick one up one of these days… probably.  I also need to get rid of the old TV.  I think my sister will be able to take it to the Boys and Girls Club discount store as a donation.  We’ll see.  And at this point I am totally bored with talking to y'all.  I'm going to do something else.
