Well, my driving suit and stuff arrived yesterday. The suit fits but it is a tad snugger than
I'd hoped. I guess I'm going to have to
try a little harder to drop those last few pounds. I put on the shoes and socks to make sure I
had the laces tied where I want them and sat in front of the TV for a
while. Then I had the bright idea to put
on all the rest of the stuff and take a picture. I sent it to John with the caption, “What has
at least one thumb and watches TV in a driving suit, shoes, and Nomex
Baklava? This guy!” If he attached the photo, you’ll get it. Anyhoo, so there’s that going on. I didn’t rant yesterday because it would have
degenerated into name calling and stuff and I don’t really want to risk my job
any more than the actual incident has.
To make a short story long, there is a group on a bit of a power trip,
another being “tattle tails,” and another forcing me to get involved in a way
that, frankly, ain't my job. Perhaps
I'll tell the story one day when it all dies down and is less likely to be
traced back to me. So, what else is
going on? Oh, John sent me a text the
other night saying, “Google image search Sherlyn Chopra. You’re welcome.” That got me looking around at other Indian
actresses and I had to go check out Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai. If you are a fan of “The Big Bang Theory” you
may remember Sheldon and Raj discussing those two. I texted John and said I'm going to have to
side with Sheldon on that argument. He
asked on which side that was and I replied, “Madhuri Dixit all the way!” I then went on to point out, “Unless Vidya
Balan is in the race, of course.” His
reply? “Well that goes without saying,
obviously. Pft.” He then admitted to being a Riya Sen
man. I agreed she was a tasty tomato
indeed. Damn, I really got the “Asian
Flu” for them Indian women!
Unfortunately, my “Indian Buffy” has moved on from the railroad. Oh, there used to be a girl in the TOB who
looked like an Indian Sarah Michelle Gellar… hence “Indian Buffy.” Oh well, what are you going to do? Have I ever mentioned that Asian Heritage Day
is the one event of that kind I don’t mind working here at the railroad? Yeah, they usually have a group of Bollywood…
uh, impersonators? Whatever Juan would
call them, they are a group of dancers in traditional Indian outfits doing a
dance number from some Bollywood film. I
think we put a picture of one of them up right after the event this year, now
that I think about it. Anyhoo, on to
other stuff. I think John and I may take
my old 60” TV to the Boys and Girls Club Resale Store in Granbury
Saturday. That is, if my sister ever
gets back with me about where it is and when it is open. If not, I think we’ll plan on installing the
steering wheel in Fiona finally. There
is also a gun show this weekend, maybe we’ll do that. Basically I'm saying I don’t know what we’re
doing this Saturday. Larry and I will be
going to the gun show on Sunday, moist likely, so I kinda doubt John and I will
on Saturday. Of course I'm up for it,
but I don’t know about John. We could
shop for that bitchin’ .22 pistol he wants!
(That was supposed to be read in a lilting, sing-song voice by the
way.) I can't afford anything but that
has never stopped me before. Well ok, it
did that ONE time when I couldn’t even afford the $8.00 to get in the
show. Holy crap! It is almost 1630 h! I gotta go!
Talk to y'all tomorrow… if you’re lucky.
