OK, yesterday I said I was going to try to ignore Gregg's money in my account, right? Then I said I'd tell y'all what I'm going to do when I can no longer do that, right? Well, here’s what I'm thinking. I'm thinking that after work, more likely leaving early actually, I'll go to Cabela’s and see what they have in a .45 Colt lever-action carbine rifle. Actually, I'd like to look for it in .454 Casull, but that is another matter. See, with a .454 gun you can still shoot the cheaper .45 Colt ammo. It is like .357 Magnum and .38 Special or .44 Magnum and .44 Special, you can shoot the lesser round in the bigger gun but not the other way around. So, being the “instant gratification” guy that I am, I don't know if I can wait another two weeks for the next gun show to buy that rifle from the “Travel Agents.” Here’s what prompted me to consider not waiting, Blood Bath & Beyond has a .45 Colt L/A carbine, brand new, for $20.00 less than what the “Travel Agents” are asking for a used gun. I'd be there this afternoon to buy it if it didn't have that silly large loop lever. So, I'll go see what Cabela’s has and then probably go look at Academy and maybe Elk Castle. Cabela’s is most likely to have ammo for it though. Of course, I could always get an AK-47 and like 1,000 rounds of ammo with Gregg's money. Hmm, interesting. No, I do not need an AK. I have always wanted a lever-action rifle. I think that is the way I should go. Now the decision as to whether to wait or not comes into play. If I wait, I'll spend the money on something else. If I go buy a gun now, of course I'll still be spending the money, but it will be for a gun I've wanted for some time. I've been sitting here thinking about Cabela’s and I'm not sure now that I am going to go there “after” work. I'm thinking now that I'll just swing by Academy “on my way” home instead. Hell, they might have a .454 Casull lever-action. Juan never knows. Oh, I also need a case and lens caps for the Mauser, I'll probably buy those while I'm at Academy. I was going to do that Sunday but got side tracked. Well, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard so I think I'm going to shut it down and call it a rant. Toodles.
