Feh, I'm really having trouble forcing myself to talk to y'all anymore. I might go on hiatus for a bit. But before I commit to doing anything rash, I'll tell y'all what happened over the weekend. Friday was mom’s birthday. She wanted to go to Two Brothers Bistro for dinner so my sister and brother-in-law picked her up and brought her to this side of town. I met them and we all ate, it was quite yummy. Saturday morning John sold his B-210 to some dude and arranged for a tow truck to pick it up at the shop. I arrived a little before the tow truck and led it back to the car. While I was getting my parts ready to install on Lil' Wiggly, he hooked up and left. Well, the intergoogle place from whom I bought the brake shoes sent the wrong ones. John called around and found a set in Haltom City at an Auto Zone. We decided to go get the shoes and then have lunch at Wild Sushi. From there John went, I assume, home while I went back to the shop. I took a very circuitous route. When I got to Clifford Street, I exited the freeway and headed west. Clifford becomes White Settlement Road which takes me out to Lake Weatherford. I hooned around Lake Weatherford and wound up on FM 5. Of course FM 5 takes me down to 1187 and thence to 377 for a bit. I got back on 1187 and took the Ben Day Murrin/Winscott Plover loop back to 1187, of course, and from there to Old Granbury Road and the shop. Just about the time I settled in to install the shoes on Lil' Wiggly, the grumpy old fart George showed up. We chatted for a bit while I installed shoes and drums then I put on two of the bitchin’ ass gold wheels I originally bought for Johns 1200, Timmy! I would have put the other two on but they are currently keeping Timmy’s ass end off the ground. When I was finished, George left and I cleaned up. I went home and… hmm, I don’t remember. Sunday was a total waste. Mom and I went to lunch at Red Hot and Blue then I did NOTHING. Today I got a call from mom saying she had locked her keys in the car. I had nothing going on so I took off to rescue her. I stopped for gas and then went to the house for the spare keys. After getting her on her way I headed back to work. I fingered 183 to I-20 to I-35 would be quicker than going back around Loop 820 so I headed out on Bryant Irvin Road towards 183. I sat in line for ten solid minutes and moved three parking lot entrances. I bailed out and cut back through the Lowe’s parking lot to the exact same entrance I'd pulled out of earlier but went the opposite direction. I wound up taking Loop 820 around to work anyway. So now I'm sitting here, trying to think of interesting things to say and only coming up with this drivel. Is it any wonder that I'm thinking of calling the rants off for a while? Well, we’ll see if I have anything more for y'all tomorrow. I'm not holding out much hope for it.
