I've spent most of the day today, when I wasn’t out doing my actual job of course, updating the DLR Inventory elsewhere in this computer. I added a section for estimated horsepower, estimated weight, and power to weight ratio. Fiona is the big winner in the power to weight race with poor old Herman bringing up dead last… if I remember correctly. Of course all the estimates are right out of my ass so none of the numbers really mean anything. I know, “Cool story, bro.” Well, it is my blog, so there. Anyhoo, while I was goofing off doing that, I also got in contact with the home office in Irving to see how many more vacation days I had left this year. I expected to hear that I had one or two, three tops. Turns out that since my five-year anniversary with the company was back in June, I now get thirteen days a year! Since I've used six already, I have SEVEN days to burn yet! When I told John, he said he’s taking three days soon and wondered if we should plan to spend them at the shop. I said, “Aw hells yeah, home boyeeeeeeeeee!” Ok, I didn’t really say that. So, once I knew what days he was taking, I asked for those days as well. I'm still waiting to hear back on that. I think the other four will be the week between Christmas and New Year’s. This place is a ghost town that week so I don’t even see the need for a coverage person. I'll take the work Blackberry and be “On Call” to fight fires and save lives as needed that week. Woo hoo! It looks like I got the same days off as John! I don’t know if we’ll spend all three days down at the shop or what, but it looks like we’ll be getting some more work done on… well, something. Now I am happy as a little girl! Und now iss ze time on Sprockets ven ve dahnce! Anyhoo, so there’s that going on. Gregg wants to come to the shop this Saturday and pick up the BMW IX out back. We should be able to wiggle it out of there without too much effort, I shouldn’t think. We’ll have to move Nadine and John's B-210, and then get Super Karate-Monkey Death Car out of the way, but I'm pretty sure all of them roll. Hell, SKMDC might not even be in the way actually. We’ll see on Saturday I guess. Ok, I'm bored with y'all now. I think I will go do something else. YOU MAY NOT TOUCH MY MONKEY!
