Remember all that stuff yesterday about Jeff’s Hilux? Yeah, go ahead and forget it. Apparently there are others interested in the vehicle as well. I told John to tell Jeff to go ahead and let it go to someone who is going to do something with it right away. I do not need another project. I was just going to do it a) to help out Jeff and 2) because the truck is moderately cool. To be honest, if I were shopping for another truck, I'd probably be looking to the mid to late eighties style Toyotas or more likely a Nissan. Thing is, I have Fifi so I don't need another truck. Now, if a full sized van were to cross my path at a decent price... all bets are off then. So, there’s that going on. Oh, did I mention the air horns and filters for Lil' Wiggly arrived the other day? Well, they did and the gaskets to mount the carburetors to the manifold came yesterday. I'll have the intake and exhaust manifolds buttoned up on Lil' Wiggly tomorrow! Woo to the ever lovin’ hoo! Of course I still have to finish the dash, install the fuel pump, and hook up the rest of the ancillary doo-dads under the hood so I've still got a weekend or two’s worth of work before it is back on the road. There is, I suppose, the remotest of possibilities that Lil' Wiggly could make it to the June Old School thing, but July is much more likely. Hmm, if we bust ass tomorrow, I get some work done on Sunday, the Thursday, and Tuesday I'm taking off for Birkinstock, and we finish up June 4th, I guess it could be ready for the next event. I wonder if we otter just plan for a trip to the muffler shop on the trailer. It would mean unloading the Spitfire. I don't really have a place to park the Spitfire until either Dave takes Barbecue Bob or Gregg takes the BMW. I guess we’ll burn that bridge when we come to it. OK, so mom tells me the other day that some dude and his daughter were getting into “a car like The Seven” at church the other day. She asked if I knew him and his name sounded familiar. Turns out, it was a Seven but I did not know him. We have shared an e-mail exchange and I told him about Birkinstock. We'll see if he wants to follow me down for the thing one or more of the days. It might be kind of cool to bring another dude into the group. Oh yeah, it would also be ultra cool to caravan down with a couple other cars. Tony still isn't sure if his car will be ready or if he’ll be able to crash at my place Thursday and/or Sunday nights. He won't be able to come to the event Saturday or Sunday since he’s in a certification class of some sort. He is planning to come Friday and Monday though. I'm not 100% sure Monday will be worth the effort however since all we’ll be doing is trekking from Glen Rose back to Cresson by noon. He’ll spend as much time, or more, getting to and from my house as we’ll spend cruising that day. I just sent him an e-mail saying as much. Hell, I might not even trek down for the Monday cruise. We'll see. Skipping Monday would free up another full day to work on Lil' Wiggly. Hmm, I need to cipher and figger on that. I just got an e-mail from the guy at the church, he’s not going to be able to make it either as he already has plans for that weekend. Bummer. OK, if Tony doesn't come for Monday, and I decide to skip it, I suppose I could give Sunday a miss as well and go to the gun show. No, I don't need to buy any more guns. I'll wait and go to the June show. Yeah, I want to do the Sunday cruise with The Sevens folks. Of course if I'm a dumb ass, like last year, and get a bad sunburn, like last year, I won't want to make either Sunday’s or Monday’s cruises, like last year. OK, I did Sunday’s cruise but I skipped Monday. In fact, the more I think about it the less likely I am to do Monday’s cruise, unless Tony makes the trek back over of course. Well, I'm through talking to y'all for today. I'll let you know how the weekend went on Monday.
