So I’m sitting here in an online meeting with the rest of the A/V team.  Yeah, this IS a new thing… and I hate it.  I suppose it is standard corporate fare, but I haven’t had to do it for the last thirteen years so I’m spoiled.  Feh, this is not working for me.  I think I am going to shut down for a while.  Ok, now I am in the… um, storage room, not the closet!  Yes, I am sitting in the storage room across the hall from the War Room waiting for Jason to get the phone and keys so I can take the rest of the week off.  Huzzah!  Of course it isn’t going to be all fun and games while I am off, I do have a dentist appointment to have a filling redone and my gums scraped, or something, so I’m not really looking forward to it.  but we gotta do what we gotta do, I suppose.  Speaking of doing what we gotta do, I decided to go ahead and buy another Windows 7 laptop.  I stopped in at Best Buy to see if they had refurbished units… they do, but not at the store.  I went online and found a couple I thought I could justify buying but didn’t trust my judgement.  I asked John if he would take a look and tell me which one was right for me.  “We” picked out one for $218.00 or so and I bought it.  It should be on its way to me as we… type/read.  I am going to attempt to load the “image” from my old ‘top to it so I can more or less pick up right where I left off a couple weeks ago.  Ok, I probably won’t attempt to load the “image” myself.  Rather, I will probably take it to Best Buy and let the Nerd Herd do it for me… unless it is going to be expensive, then I’ll see if someone else is willing to assist.  Then again I might give it a go, how hard can it be?  So, this year is the thirtieth anniversary of my high school graduation.  There is to be an reunion August 1-3 somewhere downtown, or something.  Thing is, I was at a Formula Continental race in Canadia during my tenth reunion.  I was at a Formula One race in Indianapolis during my twentieth reunion.  I need to find a race to attend this August so I don’t have to go to the thirtieth!  Pat was with me at the other two races so I sent him a text last night saying basically the same thing.  I have not heard back from him.  He’s probably making arrangements to go to Dubai for the Formula One race there.  That would learn me to open my big fat… texting… fingers.  Sort of thing.  Well, it is now 1715 h and I think I am bored talking to y’all.  I am going to go play Angry Birds, or something.  I may have something to say tomorrow or Friday, but don’t hold your breath.
